These puncture-resistant pouches serve as an excellent bacterial barrier and are suitable for ethylene oxide and radiation sterilization.
One side is constructed of breathable Tyvek* material for easy sterilization and aeration. The other side is constructed of tough, clear plastic (polyester/polyethylene) to allow viewing of the contents. The materials are non-linting to ensure a clean, fiber-free peel for aseptic presentation. Pouches have a solid 9.5mm (3/8") chevron seal with a minimum seal strength of 1.0lb/in.
Autoclave pouches and bags are used to contain medical instruments and protect them while being sterilized.
Many autoclaves are used to sterilize equipment and supplies by subjecting them to high-pressure saturated steam at 121 °C (249 °F) for around 15–20 minutes depending on the size of the load and the contents
